Projection Mapping and Interactive Art

Exposure 2019 Central Coast Photography Prize

A pop-up style projection mapped photo exhibition across a government building façade, transforming public space into a dynamic outdoor gallery.

Project Overview

For Exposure 2019, the Central Coast’s annual photography prize, ShuffleMedia worked with the NSW Central Coast Council to produce a unique public exhibition format. Across three consecutive nights, we projection-mapped selected photographic works onto the façade of the Department of Finance Building in Gosford, NSW. Designed as a free cultural offering for the community, the activation bypassed traditional gallery walls, instead using public space to amplify the impact of the works. This guerrilla-style projection mapped installation was conceived, developed, and delivered under a tight timeline — transforming everyday architecture into a large-scale media canvas and reimagining how local art can be shared.
